About

LaMa (working title) is a collaborative visual component project of graduate theses by two students, Mason LaHue and Laura Jung. They currently pursue M.F.A in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design and are expected to graduate in spring of 2019.

Mason LaHue is a visual development artist seeking honest expression of, color, light, and design to portray captivating environments. The biology of how humans see is often interpreted as a phenomenon. Impressionist and hyper-realistic paintings feel like magic tricks. He seeks to expose such tricks in plain language and create approachable techniques that conceptual artists may use to heighten their sensitivity to their environment.

Laura Jung currently specialize in lighting and fabrication in stop-motion animation. Stop-motion is a medium that has a capability of bringing an intangible imagination into a tangible form in a physical space through superior craftsmanship and innovative problem-solving steps. She plans on setting myself as a lighting specialist who can tailor lighting skills into stop-motion production and possibly working as an independent filmmaker.
